Which app is up to the task?
I’m a list maker. I make to-do lists, grocery lists, goal lists … well, you get the idea. But I’ve always been decidedly low-tech about my lists, because I love the ability to physically mark an item off my list. The one downfall is that I always seem to forget my grocery list at home or file my personal to-do list somewhere for “safe keeping,” meaning it won’t resurface for six months.
Of course, there is a better way. I’m always toting around my smartphone, so why not keep my lists there? With that in mind, I searched the web for a handful of likely apps to keep me organized and meet my list-making need.
Here are three I’m going to check out:
Get it Done

HOW WE TRIPLED ECOMMERCE REVENUE IN 18 MONTHS
By capitalizing on conversion-centric email marketing, social media, online giveaways, and abandoned cart emails, we significantly increased brand loyalty, awareness, and most importantly—eCommerce sales.
Based on the book Getting Things Done by David Allen, this app is full of functionality beyond simple to-do lists or task managers. Access files, delegate tasks, include notes and sync tasks to your calendar. As a fan of Allen’s book, this one is worth a look, but it will have to be worth the $39/year price tag (after 15-day trial). Available on iPhone and Android.
Remember the Milk
Don’t forget the milk – or anything else – again, touts this app, which is available across a variety of platforms, including Android, iPhone, iPad and Twitter. You can even enlist Siri to help you remember the milk. Set reminders, manage tasks via email and remind your significant other to do his household chores. The core product is free, but users can update to Pro for $25/year.
Wunderlist
Sync across all devices on all major platforms – the beauty of the cloud wrapped into one clever little app. Promising to be simple and functional, you can make your list as streamlined or segmented as you choose; manage your own lists or collaborate with a colleague or friend. Longing for paper? It’s easy to print your Wunderlist as well. Look for Wunderlist Pro coming soon.
